Safe Church Taining Spring 2007
What is it? Diocesan workshops presenting National Church educational materials regarding child abuse to help make the church a safe place for all our children, and; adult sexual misconduct, prevention, detection and reporting.
Who must attend? Employees and volunteers who work in the church will be required to attend Safe Church Training as follows:
Safeguarding God’s Children
All employees, including clergy, part-time day school teachers AND volunteers who supervise youth at least twice a month in a setting outside of Sunday morning. While not required, it is recommended that Sunday School teachers, nursery workers or anyone working with children also attend.
Adult Sexual Misconduct, Awareness, Detection, & Prevention
All clergy, program staff and business staff employees.
Optional: clerical and maintenance workers.
