We can all remember the shock and disbelief when viewing for the first time the images of the aftermath of Katherine during August of 2005. Thousands upon thousands of volunteers poured into the gulf region delivering emergency supplies, building supplies, and offering help in the rebuilding efforts. >>
EYE-2008
The Episcopal Youth Event (E.Y.E.) will be held July 8-13, 2008 at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas for young people who have just finished 9-12 grade that year. It serves as a celebration to inspire a deeper faith in Jesus Christ, and a renewed commitment to mission and ministry. It is the second largest event in the Episcopal Church and the single largest youth event in the Episcopal Church, typically attended by some 1500 young people, adult sponsors, bishops, staff, and resource people. This year at our Diocesan Convention there were 13 youth delegates, representing their Convocations. In addition, 10 to 15 youth served as pages, assisting with setup prior to the opening of Convention to relaying messages throughout Convention. >>
